It's been over a week since news broke of the effort by Democrat developers to stack the next Baltimore County Council with their supporters, and so far...radio silence from some of our Democrat politicians who claim to stand for good government.

Senator Jim Brochin and Delegate Steve Lafferty represent Towson, where developers are raising boatloads of money for Gordon Harden.  Brochin and Lafferty claim to be independent-minded reformers, but they've said nothing publicly this brazen attempt to install Harden in the County Council seat that includes Towson.

Moving east, there's Ruth Baisden, a candidate for the House of Delegates.  Baisden used to be an independent-minded Democrat, but she's become a harsh partisan since her second, failed attempt to get elected.  Maybe Baisden is keeping quiet to avoid ticking off County Executive Jim Smith and the Democrat machine.

We're also waiting to hear from other Democrat "reformers" like Senator Bobby Zirkin, who represents Owings Mills.

The Baltimore County Republican Party has denounced the effort by a few big money Democrats to control our County Council.  Where are the independent Democrats?  Come out, come out, wherever you are.
