Democrat misdeeds dominated the top five political stories of 2009 in Baltimore County, as picked by Patuxent Publishing newspapers.

The top political story was the effort by Democrat developer lawyers, including the County Executive's son, to handpick members of the Baltimore County Council.  Most noteworthy was how Bryan Sears, political editor for Patuxent Publishing, described the three Democrats annointed by these developer lawyers:  they are "unknown and untested" (in other words, people the developers can control).

Also making the list:  the public outcry over the County Council's lucrative pension system, the ethical lapses of Democrat County Councilmen Sam Moxley and Ken Oliver, County Executive Jim Smith's political future (the buying of a State Senate seat?), and the poor local economy.

Read the commentary here.  A year's worth of Democrat misdeeds and blunders in two nice columns!
