The Vince Gardina Soap Opera continues.
First it was news that Gardina, the longest-serving member of the County Council, would haul away $54,000 annually thanks to the lucrative pension system devised by Baltimore County Democrats.
Then, on Wednesday, political reporter Bryan Sears reported that Gardina was holding a second job in possible violation of the county charter (as if the upcoming pension wasn't enough).
Finally, on Thursday, Sears dropped another bombshell, saying that a fight broke out between two Patapsco High School students, leading to a complaint against substitute teache Gardina.
People can draw their own conclusions, but it's pretty clear that Gardina is the poster child for what's wrong in Democrat-led Baltimore County. After 16 years, Democrats seem to think they can get away with anything. That seems to include a County Councilman driving while intoxicated; a state delegate using the police for an engagement proposal; a lucrative pension package that far surpasses what police officers and firefighters receive; and a duo of Democrat lawyers raising tens of thousands of dollars for candidates running for the County Council.
Isn't it time for a change?
